At Elnet Foundation, the first of its kind Mobile Veterinary Clinic (MVC) in Ethiopia, has been tirelessly working to provide essential veterinary care to equines in Addis Ababa in collaboration with Brooke. These efforts are critical, as healthy equines are vital to the livelihoods of many families who rely on them for transportation, and other labor-intensive tasks.
The MVC travels to five sub cities namely Kolfe keranio, Nifas Silk Lafto, Lemi kura, Bole, and Akaki-kality sub cities reaching abandoned and neglected equine and to the community where veterinary services are limited. Whether it’s treating equine or conducting euthanasia and community awareness service the dedicated veterinary team from Brooke, Elnet and AAFUADC are making a tangible impact every day.
The Ongoing Impact:
- Inclusive Animal Care
- Supporting Livelihoods
- Empowering Communities
We’re grateful to Dr. Yimesgen Tarekegn for this important information and his contribution to the establishment of the MVC. The continued support ensures that we can keep bringing essential care to the animals and communities that need it most.
