Elnet Foundation has supported communities affected by the drought in Borena region, southern Oromia region of Ethiopia during past and present times through different emergency response interventions. Now, by its social work initiative, Elnet Foundation has given in-kind support of food items to the Yabello and its surrounding community that is recovering from the difficult time after the most recent drought. The support is delivered to the community together with Gudina Tumsa Foundation. 681 liter of edible oil and 52 kuntal of maize flour has been handed over to selected, worst affected households in the presence of officials and elders. This will help 208 families to cover the basic food needs for a month, giving them time to get back on their feet and to bounce back after loosing livestock and to grow new food.
