Today we’re very happy to announce that Elnet Foundation and Brooke Ethiopia signed a 15million ETB project agreement on a project entitled “Protect and Improve the Welfare of Equines in Addis Ababa Administration”. The project combines a new way of problem-solving by combining treatment and euthanasia for equines in Addis Ababa through a state-of-the-art mobile veterinary clinic, community education and mobilization of key stakeholders. The implementation of the project will start this month.
Elnet Foundation’s animal welfare program is one of our domains that is working for the care and protection of our animals in Ethiopia. This initiative is one of the projects that is carefully designed to solve the long-lasting equines’ health and environmental problems in Addis Ababa, with the potential to be replicated in other urban areas.
