Elnet Foundation’s annual house renovation program started on Saturday, May 21 in Merkato, Addis Ababa. It’s following the Prime Ministers’ call to support house renovations for the poorest of the poor, to ensure dignified living among the urban populations. We will renovate two houses in dire need of renewal in Merkato, by completely constructing walls, roofs and floors to ensure its residents can live their lives in safety and dignity, without fearing weather phenomena and that walls and roofs could collapse during this coming rainy season.
The renovation program is one of the initiatives under the peoples’ domain that target the poorest of the poor. Our Foundation’s house renovating program was started last year by renovating two dilapidated houses in Gulele and Merkato.
